Map of Snohomish History

Snohomish is a treasure trove of historic architecture, with buildings dating from the 1860s to the 1930s and beyond. Recognized for its significance, the Snohomish Historic District—encompassing the downtown and its adjacent neighborhoods—earned its spot on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

Strolling through town, you'll encounter a fascinating mix of styles—from charming Craftsman Bungalows and ornate Queen Anne Victorians to stately Colonial Revivals. Many of these homes proudly display plaques noting their construction date and the names of their original residents, adding to the town’s storied past.

Wood reigns supremes in most buildings in the downtown core, as well as the residential neighborhoods, though you'll also find examples in brick, stone, and stucco.

The Map of Historic Snohomish is your guide to these architectural gems, cataloging buildings and sites located in town and beyond. This map is continuously updated as new discoveries are made.
